And So It Begins...

"Look Mom - we made it snow!" Happy dogs dancing all around. Sigh. Once again, the living room is filled with shredded foam from pups gleefully destroying yet another dog bed. How much landfill space does a dog bed take, anyway? That can’t be good for future pups. There's got to be a better solution for happy pups and happy Earth, for today and tomorrow...

Happy Pups. Happy Planet.

“You cannot get through a single day without having an impact on the world around you. What you do makes a difference and you have to decide what kind of a difference you want to make.”

—Jane Goodall

Drift. It happens nearly everywhere and to everything, causing so much to go awry. The key is in catching it and correcting course.

Admittedly, I have become the poster child for green gone black. Lured to the dark side by convenience, price, time constraints, mass availability, social pressures and any other excuse I’d like to throw at it, my save the planet passion that came about while pursuing a BS in Biology had (mostly) been replaced with good ole’ American complacency.

Until the dogs made it snow in the living room. Again. Perhaps it was the reminder of a snowy north childhood and the save the planet passion that was born from it on campus. Or the stark realization that we had now BECOME the problem. Or simply the sage mind that comes with age making an appearance and wisely pointing out that, perhaps, it was time to make a change.

And so: The Earth Pup was born. This is our journey back to becoming more Eco-friendly. For the Pups, for the Planet.

While our ultimate goal is to discover, develop and promote new and innovative Eco-friendly pet products, being as green as we can from sourcing to delivery, the sage mind reminds us that is a very lofty goal. And that it took many decades to get where we are today, so will likely take a bit of time getting back to greenness.

We’re up for the journey, however, and hope others will join as we go.

And so it begins…

Here’s to happy frolicking pups on the planet for many more millennia.
