Complete Eco-friendly Dog Beds: Covers & Filling
A double-dose of Eco-friendliness, with both cover and filling made from more planet-friendly options.
Recycled + Upcycled
Greener Pup: Pup Beds

Looking to do good for both pups and planet, Greener Pup creates a variety of dog beds using filling made from recycled post-consumer plastics and covers from upcycled material (designer remnants and ends otherwise headed for the landfill). And 100% of their profits go to Ace of Hearts dog rescue, placing dogs in new homes.

Available in four styles and four sizes, you're sure to find just the right comfort style for your pup at Greener Pup. Round and round "Cuddle Bug" beds range in size from 24 inches in diameter to 54 inches (~$73 to $135) and rectangles (with and without cuddler sides) from 20 x 28 inches all the way to 48 x 54 inches (~$75 to $135), inclusive of cover and fill. Covers are machine washable and available in a wide variety of solids and patterns. Or, for a truly customized look, you can send in a photo of your pup and room where the bed will be going, and their designer will choose the best color and pattern for your dog and décor.

Recycled + Organic
All Natural Dog: Dog Pillow Bed

A straight-forward eco-conscious choice for a dog bed, this rectangular pillow uses a polyfill made from recycled post-consumer plastics for the filling, and certified organic cotton for the cover. Currently available in one size (large, measuring 32 x 43 inches), it appears to have good loft in the center, measuring 6 inches deep, appropriate for a medium sized dog, or a smaller pup that likes to stretch out.

Pink and grey are the available colors at this writing, with a zipper on the cover for removing at wash time. Priced at $129 on the All Natural Dog Beds website, you may also want to pick up an organic cotton blanket for pup to snuggle into at nap time.
Wool + Organic Cotton
NaturoPet: Natural Orthopedic Dog Bed

Looking to get a little closer and kinder to nature, these rectangular beds feature virgin wool filling with organic cotton inner and outer covers for more durable protection. Known for being breathable and regulating temperatures in cold and hot weather, the wool provides a comfortable option for pup to sleep on. The inner cover provides a short-term usable bed for pup (indoor use recommended), while the outer cover can be zipped off and machine washed and dried.

Stated to be available in three sizes: small (26 x 20 inches), medium (34 x 26 inches) and large (44 x 34 inches), each is 4 inches deep. At the time of writing, however, only small and large appear to be in stock, priced at $85 and $185 on Amazon, in a light grey cloud color.
Organic Wool/Latex/Cotton
Soaring Heart: Doggie Dreams Organic Dog Beds

Extending their human line to pets, Soaring Heart Natural Bed Company only uses all organic natural materials in their products, including their Doggie Dreams beds. A unique blend of equal parts organic cotton, wool and latex for the filling, their covers are a silky organic cotton to complete the natural approach. Absent of any chemical-based foams or fire-retardants, which could be helpful with dogs that have skin allergies, sometimes exacerbated by synthetic fills and chemical treatments.

Currently available in one size, approximately 36 x 36 inches, with what looks to be a lot of loft, they offer several solid color choices to go with your décor, from ivory to plum, navy to nutmeg. The covers are removable for washing, cool water, mild detergent and low-heat tumble drying being recommended. Priced at $278, you and your pup can rest assured you'll both be satisfied with a 30-day comfort guarantee and a 20-year warranty on defects for any accompanying mattress you may choose for yourself. Start dreaming of the possibilities on their Soaring Heart website.
